- NYU Langone Medical Center, Manhattan – Despite having sufficient installed capacity, the NYU Langone Medical Center was having difficulty meeting its peak cooling load. A FlexTech study from WM Group resulted in a recommendation to remove nearly 1,300 HP of unnecessary pumps and improve system control to fix the problem. These modifications saved the client $460,000 per year in energy costs.
- Saint Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie – St. Francis Hospital worked with WM Group through a NYSERDA contract to determine the best way to replace its aging chiller plant. Through the use of advanced energy modeling software, the most cost-effective plant configuration was selected.
- NYU College of Dentistry David B. Kriser Dental Center, Manhattan – Plans for the addition of new building space at NYU College of Dentistry exceeded the capacity of the plant’s two existing steam absorption chillers. A FlexTech study by WM Group recommended the addition of an electric chiller to provide additional capacity and permit the energy flexibility of a hybrid chiller plant.
