Founded in 2000, WM Group Engineers is led by President and Principal Hemant R. Mehta, PE. Regarded as an expert in utility master planning, Mehta has vast experience in optimizing the performance and improving efficiencies of existing utility plants, often through simple modifications. His recommendations have enabled many facilities to save millions of dollars in capital and operating costs. Mehta has managed more than 100 central utility projects throughout the world during his 35-year career. Many current WM Group clients began working with him years before the company was established. A registered professional engineer in several states, Mehta holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is active within the energy and utility industries, including as a presenter at technical seminars and as member of ASHRAE and IDEA, whose International District Cooling Conferences he has chaired.
